Dalat Banner, Inner Mongolia: Modern DigitalagricultureScience and technology industrial parks lead the way to a new agricultural future
In the modern digital agricultural science and technology industrial park in Dalat Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, the scene of agricultural production is refreshing: strawberries hanging in the air to grow, vegetables floating in the water to take root, fruits and vegetables relying on biological control technology to put an end to pests and diseases. All this depicts a picture ofmodern agricultureof a whole new picture and set a benchmark for agricultural modernization.
Intelligent greenhouse and digital agriculture to create an example of the future of agriculture
In winter, into the modern digital agriculture science and technology industrial park located in Dalate Banner Wang Aishao town generation of Yong Village, several huge intelligent greenhouse scattered distribution, which "air strawberry garden" is particularly eye-catching. Strawberry hanging planting unique design and high-tech planting methods, let people feel the combination of science and technology and agriculture shock.
In recent years, Dalat Banner has vigorously developed modern agriculture under the guidance of the government and driven by enterprises, and built the Inner Mongolia Modern Digital Agriculture Science and Technology Industrial Park. The park actively promotes digital and intelligent technology, develops soil-less cultivation and other characteristics of agriculture, and at the same time provides employment opportunities for more than 100 farmers and herdsmen in the surrounding area, injecting new vitality into the revitalization of the countryside.
Featured Program Highlights
The total planning of Inner Mongolia Modern Digital Agriculture Science and Technology Industrial Park covers an area of more than 2,600 acres, and at present, it has transferred 1,203 acres of land, and the first phase of the project covers an area of about 330 acres, with an investment of 240 million yuan. The main construction projects include aerial strawberry greenhouse, intelligent vegetable factory, characteristic melon greenhouse and fruit corn processing workshop. Among them:
Aerial Strawberry Garden: opened for market on December 20, 2023, with an estimated annual output of 240 tons of strawberries. Coir pellets are used here as substrate, combined with an intelligent agricultural control system that mixes purified groundwater with fertilizers to provide strawberries with the water and nutrients they need to grow through a water-fertilizer integration system.
Intelligent Vegetable Factory: officially put into operation in June 2024, it adopts hydroponic cultivation technology to grow lettuce and is expected to produce 750 tons per year. The vegetables are automatically controlled by digitalization from seedling to growth, realizing round-the-clock uninterrupted production and producing about 20,000 pounds of lettuce per day.
Enabling Agriculture with Science and Technology Enhancing Productivity and Efficiency
In the Intelligent Vegetable Factory, a piece of bright green lettuce floats on the water surface, and under the water surface is actually a nutrient liquid circulation system, which provides the plant with the nutrients needed for growth in real time. The entire planting process utilizes high-tech equipment such as robotic transplanting, harvesting and automated assembly lines, with the comprehensive mechanization rate and contribution rate of scientific and technological progress reaching over 90%. It not only significantly improves the land utilization rate, but also achieves the goals of water saving, fertilizer saving and yield increasing.
The park comprehensively applies the Internet of Things system to monitor environmental parameters such as temperature, light, carbon dioxide concentration and other environmental parameters of each production link in real time, and accurately regulate the production conditions. Such a smart management model not only improves the quality of agricultural products, but also increases economic benefits by regulating the growth cycle, demonstrating the powerful potential of digital agriculture.
Future direction of modern agriculture
Dalat Banner Modern Digital Agriculture Science and Technology Industrial Park is not only a model area for agricultural production, but also a popular place for science popularization and sightseeing. With its advanced science and technology, flexible business model and high adaptability to market demand, the park comprehensively demonstrates the direction of agricultural modernization.
With the full completion of the park, its contribution rate of agricultural scientific and technological progress and the comprehensive mechanization rate of crops will be further enhanced, significantly optimizing the efficiency of resource utilization and injecting a strong impetus for rural revitalization and regional economic development.
In the future, this "air strawberry garden" and "intelligent vegetable factory" will continue to play a demonstration role, driving more areas to the fast lane of modern agriculture, but also let people look forward to the future of agriculture.
